Trovita Orange Tree
The Trovita Orange is a widely adaptable thin skinned orange, which develops excellent flavor without the heat required by other varieties. This makes it an excellent choice for home gardeners. It can withstand temperatures from 50 to 100 degrees, but is not shade or salt tolerant.It requires a lot of moisture, but does not like to be standing in water. It produces prolifically and can be eaten directly from the tree or juiced. The juice will not turn bitter when stored in the refrigerator.Trovita is ideal for fresh-squeezed orange juice, and it is very sweetly mild with few seeds. The fruit ripens and blooms in spring, so you may have fragrant blooms and orange fruit at the same time! This is the only orange that is suitable for indoor growing. The tree is vigorous and upright in growth. It prefers full sun, fertile, but well drained soil, and moderate water.
