The Sun System Grow Beast utilizes cutting edge Light Emitting Ceramic® technology in combination with your preferred high PAR DE Lamp (DE lamp not included). The fixture has 95% reflective textured German aluminum insert and 98% reflective corners for excellent output, uniformity and diffusion. The wide throw DE reflector features 95% reflective textured German aluminum. DE lamp provides an extremely high photosynthetic photon flux (ppf) as the LEC provides improved full color light spectrum with higher amounts of beneficial UV and far red spectrums. Galvanized steel housing with durable powder coated finish, easy carry handles. 20 ft 240 volt power cord included. 15 ft detachable lamp cord. Ballast for the 315 ceramic fixtures are built into the housing of this unit, but the ballast for the DE fixture is not built-in and must be purchased separately. This unit comes with 3100k Philips 315w Ceramic MH lamps. One great option with this fixture for keeping overall wattage down as an alternative to running a 1000w DE bulb is to use the 600/750 DE lamp and use a DE ballast dimmed down to 600 to 750 watts, such as the Galaxy 1000w DE Select-A-Watt Double Ended Electronic Ballast or Phantom II 1000W HPS 120/208/240v Double Ended (DE) Ballast.
