Rhododendron Anah Kruschke
The Rhododendron 'Anah Kruschke', Rhododendron 'Anah Kruschke', is a vigorous growing shrub with elegant dark green foliage. It produces blooms that are widely funnel-shaped, 3 across and reddish-purple. The flowers cover the plant in late midseason; matures to 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide. The blooms show brightly against the sea green foliage. 'Anah Kruschke' is best grown in full sun and acidic well drained soil. Favored for its heat and sun tolerance, it is unusual amongst rhododendron varieties; the plant is also hardy through occasional freezing winter weather. Water the rhododendron plant frequently in dry, hot weather and fertilize in spring just before new growth begins.
