Hot Spikes for Cool GardensLupine Gallery Red Lupinus x hybrida 'Gallery Red', is an extremely hardy lupine selection with spikes of delicate, pea-shaped, red flowers. Hummingbirds and butterflies love the intense red color! It is an incredible performer for northern gardens. The lush bright green palmate leaves really stand out in the garden too, and forms a nice 24 dense mound. Lupine prefers relatively cool conditions, so do not plant in a hot spot. Lupinus 'Gallery Red' thrives in rich organic soil with good drainage. Plant in the spring after average last frost date or in late summer in warmer climates.
