The leaves are tinged with pink in winter.This evergreen shrub has a dense erect habit and is excellent for small hedges and foundation plantings. It is fast growing, low maintenace and very dense. It matures to 2'-4' with a spread of 3'-4' It will thrive in full sun to full shade.Even though Emerald Gaiety is classified as a shrub, it can become a climber if supported. The flowers are easy to miss, but it can produce quite showy red inedible berries.This is a very versatile plant.
