It was a great fresh fruit then and is still a great fruit to grow.Dancy has juicy and tasty red/orange flesh and it ripens in December, so it is often called the Christmas Tangerine. You won’t find this on your supermarket shelf, though.Part of what makes the Dancy so good is also what makes it hard to bring to the mass market. It has a really loose skin that is super easy to peel. Unfortunately, that means that modern equipment bruise and scar the fruit.
